Camping is provided by the Cowra Showground Trust and by staying onsite you are helping them to raise money to improve facilities at the showgrounds.
Camping is available for motor homes, caravans, camper trailers, tents and swags.
Camping on-site for the full week leading up to Pitch Fork Cowra is by far the best way to immerse yourself in all that Cowra has to offer. Campsites are available from 9th June2017 - 12 June 2017 and your camping fee allows you to stay for as many nights as you like during that time.
Shower and toilet facilities are available in the camping grounds for the full week.
There will be a number of events happening in Cowra during the lead up to the festival weekend and the area is also home toa range of natural attractions for you to explore while you visit.
Campsite bookings will open on the 1st March and can be booked online only.
Powered & unpowered Camp Sites
This does not include admission into the festival on 8thriday and Saturday 9th July 2018. A separate GA ticket must be purchased.
Things to consider when preparing to camp at the festival
Be Familiar With Our Camping Rules
It is our expectation that every person that books a camping site at the Festival has read and accepted our Camping Rules.
While we continue to improve the facilities please remember that our camping grounds are used only a few times a year. Toilet and shower facilities are adequately basic. Peak times for shower queues are in the mornings and later afternoons so please avoid these times if you don’t want to wait.
Because of limited use, it is not possible for us to provide perfectly level camp sites with well manicured lawns and water taps to each site. Just remember that this is a showgrounds not a caravan park.
Powered sites are very limited and they will sell out fast. We do keep some sites aside for medical reasons so if you require a Powered Campsite for medical reasons please contact us before purchasing.
Winter in Cowra can be unpredictable and all we can say is – expect the unexpected! Come prepared for warm to hot days and cool to cold nights. You should prepare for any weather occasion.
Water is a precious commodity at Cowra. We would appreciate if everyone would join with us in conserving water in the following ways:
Restrict yourself to one shower a day
Turn the water off when brushing your teeth
Please bring some water with you
The water tap near your campsite cannot be hooked up to your van. They are there for everyone to use.
Those are the basics and we appreciate your efforts in conserving water where possible.
Keep your valuables safe
Theft can be a problem as at any large event so please do not bring anything of value to the festival other than what is absolutely necessary. All valuables remain the responsibility of the camper.
Expect noise, bring earplugs
Campsites near the festival stage areas and in other areas may hear music from the festival precinct until the late hours of the night and fellow campers may be up and about all day and night, with vehicles moving around from early in the morning. Please bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
